Laura Vandervoort is a Canadian actress. She was born on 22 September 1984 in Toronto, Ontario, and began acting in the late 1990s.
She is known for her role as Kara Kent, also known as Supergirl, in the television series Smallville (2007–2011). Other notable roles include Sadie Harrison in Instant Star (2004–2007) and Lisa in V (2009–2011). She has also appeared in films including The Lookout (2007) and Ted (2012).
