Biography
Lauren Montgomery is an American animator, director, producer and writer. Born on 4 May 1980 in Los Angeles, she began her career as a storyboard artist on the animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002–2004).
She is known for her extensive work in DC Comics animation, including directing several direct-to-video films such as Superman: Doomsday (2007), Wonder Woman (2009), Batman: Year One (2011) and Justice League: Doom (2012). Montgomery served as supervising producer and storyboard artist on The Legend of Korra (2012–2014) and as executive producer and showrunner on Voltron: Legendary Defender (2016–2018). She directed the animated feature Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (2026).
