Biography
Laurence Coriat is a French screenwriter and short film director based in London. She moved to England in her early twenties and began her career writing for British cinema.
Her credits include the screenplay for Michael Winterbottom’s Wonderland (1999), co-writing Sandra Goldbacher’s Me Without You (2001), and further collaborations with Winterbottom on Genova (2008) and Everyday (2012). She also wrote episodes of the BBC series McMafia (2018) and the screenplay for Shoshana (2023). Wonderland was selected in competition at Cannes and won the Best British Independent Film award.
Coriat has worked with directors including Marc Evans on Patagonia (2010) and Hunky Dory (2011), and received a BAFTA nomination for her work on Everyday.
