Biography
Laurence Dunmore is a British film director and former graphic designer. He began his career in graphic design, studying at the London College of Printing before working in the record industry and later moving into music videos and commercials.
Dunmore joined Ridley Scott Associates in 1997 and directed numerous award-winning advertisements for brands including BMW, AT&T, ING and Turkish Airlines. He won Cannes Lions for his commercial work. His feature film debut was as director of The Libertine (2004), a period drama starring Johnny Depp as the Earl of Rochester.
The film received nominations at the British Independent Film Awards, including for Best Director. Dunmore has continued to work primarily in advertising and has directed shorts and music videos.
