Biography
Lawrence Ko (Chinese: 柯宇綸) is a Taiwanese actor. Born on 28 April 1977 in Taipei, he is the son of director and actor Ko I-chen. He made his film debut as a child and trained in theatre at the Taipei National University of the Arts.
Ko is known for early roles in Edward Yang films, including Airplane in A Brighter Summer Day (1991), as well as appearances in Mahjong (1996) and Yi Yi (2000). He has also worked with Ang Lee on Lust, Caution (2007) and starred in Jump Ashin! (2011), for which he received a Best Supporting Actor award at the Taipei Film Awards.
