Biography
Lenka Peterson was an American actress who worked in theatre, film and television. Born Betty Ann Isacson on 16 October 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska, she trained at the Actors Studio in New York and appeared in early stage productions and a USO tour before making her screen debut in the 1950 film Panic in the Streets.
Her film credits include the role of Mary Jo Patterson in The Phenix City Story (1955). On television she had recurring parts in daytime serials such as Search for Tomorrow and Another World, and guest roles in series including Law & Order and Kojak. Peterson was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the 1984 Broadway musical Quilters.
She was married to producer Daniel Patrick O'Connor from 1948 until his death in 2015; their daughter Glynnis O'Connor is also an actress. Peterson died on 24 September 2021 in Roxbury, Connecticut.
