Biography
Leonard Freeman was an American television writer and producer. He created the CBS crime drama series Hawaii Five-O (1968), which ran for twelve seasons. He also wrote the pilot episode and several others.
Freeman wrote episodes of Route 66 and produced The Untouchables. He wrote the screenplay for the film Hang 'Em High (1968). He died in 1974 during the run of Hawaii Five-O. The 2010 series Hawaii Five-0 credits him as the creator of the original.
