Biography
Lewis Cope is an English actor and dancer. Born on 19 March 1995 in Hartlepool, County Durham, he began his career as a child actor, appearing in the West End production of Billy Elliot the Musical as Michael from 2008. He later trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
Cope gained prominence for his role as Nicky Miligan in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale from 2022 to 2024. He has also appeared in Vera (2021) as Marcus Hynde, Hetty Feather (2019), Doctors (2019) and Mrs Sidhu Investigates (2023). In 2025 he competed as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, finishing fifth with partner Katya Jones.
His television credits include the lead role of Kaden Barrie in the Channel 5 series Forever Home (2026). He received a nomination for the National Television Award for Rising Star in 2023.
