Biography
Lidiya Naumova, also credited as Lidiya Zharova or L. Naumova, was a Soviet costume designer. Born in Moscow in 1902, she graduated from VKHUTEMAS in 1924 with a diploma in production design. She worked at Mosfilm between 1954 and 1969.
Her credits include Sergei Eisenstein’s Ivan the Terrible (1944), Mikhail Kalatozov’s The Cranes Are Flying (1957), Letter Never Sent (1960), The Girls (1962) and Business People (1963). She was made an Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1969.
