Biography
Lila Lakshmanan is an Indian-French film editor. Born in 1935 in Jabalpur, she moved to France in the late 1950s. She began working in cinema after meeting Jean-Luc Godard, serving first as his assistant editor.
Her editing credits include Contempt (1963) and The Carabineers (1963), both directed by Godard, as well as sound editing on Vivre sa vie (1962). She is also credited with editing work on François Truffaut's Jules et Jim (1962). She studied at the Sorbonne.
