Biography
Liz McGregor is a costume designer born on 8 January 1973 in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga, and based in Auckland, New Zealand. She began working in the film industry as a wardrobe assistant on The Piano (1993) and later served as assistant costume designer on Blood Diamond (2006) and Mulan (2020), and as costume supervisor on Without a Paddle (2004) and The Light Between Oceans (2016).
McGregor has received costume design credits on Yogi Bear (2010), 6 Days (2017), No Exit (2022), The Convert (2024) and the live-action Moana (2026). She won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design/Styling for the television series The New Legends of Monkey (2018–2020) and has received New Zealand film and television awards and nominations.
