Biography
Loris Rey was a Scottish sculptor, potter and teacher who also worked as an actor. Born in Rutherglen in 1903, he trained at Glasgow School of Art and later headed the sculpture department at Leeds College of Art before settling in London.
During the Second World War he served as a fireman and appeared uncredited as J. Rumbold in Humphrey Jennings’s documentary-style film Fires Were Started (1943). He died in London in 1962.
