Biography
Louis Feuillade was a French film director and screenwriter of the silent era. He was born on 19 February 1873 in Lunel, Hérault, and died on 26 February 1925 in Nice. He joined Gaumont in 1905 as a scriptwriter and later became its artistic director.
Between 1906 and 1924 he directed more than 630 films. He is known for the crime serials Fantômas (1913–1914), Les Vampires or, The Arch Criminals of Paris (1915), on which he also wrote the screenplay, and Judex (1916).
