Biography
Louis Leubas, also credited as Louis Lebas or M. Leubas, was a French actor of theatre and silent cinema. Born Charles Louis Numa Fivaz on 23 December 1869 in Gorgier, Switzerland, he performed on stage in Paris at the Athénée and as part of the Vaudeville troupe until 1913.
He began his film career in 1912 after being noticed by director Léonce Perret. Leubas appeared in several films by Perret and Louis Feuillade, including L'Enfant de Paris (1913), Les Vampires or, The Arch Criminals of Paris (1915) as Father Silence and Satanas, and Judex (1916) as the banker Favraux. His screen work continued until around 1922.
