Biography
Lucie Aubrac (1912–2007), born Lucie Bernard and also known as Lucie Samuel, was a French writer, history teacher and former Resistance member. She appeared as herself in the 1988 documentary Hôtel Terminus: The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie.
She published her wartime memoir Ils partiront dans l'ivresse in 1984 (English title Outwitting the Gestapo), which formed the basis for the 1997 film Lucie Aubrac. Aubrac also wrote La Résistance expliquée à mes petits-enfants (2000) and other works on the French Resistance.
