Biography
Lucy Beaumont (born Lucy Emily Pinkstone, 18 May 1869 – 24 April 1937) was an English actress of the stage and screen. Born in Bristol, she was educated at a young ladies' college in Bath, Somerset. She appeared on Broadway in productions including My Lady's Dress (1914–15), Quinneys and Little Lady in Blue (1916).
Beaumont played mostly mother roles in films. Her credits include The Crowd (1928) as Mary's Mother, The Devil-Doll (1936) as Madame Lavond and A Free Soul (1931) as Grandma Ashe. Other films were The Greater Glory (1926), Torrent (1926), The Beloved Rogue (1927), Resurrection (1927) and Maid of Salem (1937), her final motion picture. Her last professional appearance was on the Robert L. Ripley radio programme in April 1937.
