Biography
Luis Tosar is a Spanish actor from Galicia. He was born on 13 October 1971 in Lugo and began his career in Galician television and short films before making his feature debut in Atilano for President (1998).
He gained recognition for roles in Common Wealth (2000), Mondays in the Sun (2002) and Take My Eyes (2003). His performance as Malamadre in Cell 211 (2009) marked a turning point, leading to prominent parts in thrillers such as Sleep Tight (2011), Retribution (2015) and The Vault (2021).
Tosar appeared in the American film Miami Vice (2006) as Arcángel de Jesús Montoya and has received three Goya Awards.
