Biography

Luzer Twersky is an American actor. Born on 26 July 1985 in Brooklyn, he was raised in a Hasidic Jewish community and left it in 2008. He began acting around 2010 after working as a model and retail manager.

Twersky is known for his role as Shulem in the 2014 film Felix and Meira, for which he received a Jutra Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and won Best Actor awards at the Amiens and Torino International Film Festivals. He played Mendel in the second season of the series Transparent (2015) and appeared as himself in the 2017 documentary One of Us. Other credits include Undone (2019) as Zusman and Dovbush (2023) as the Baal Shem Tov.

He is a cousin of rabbi and transgender activist Abby Stein.
