Biography
Lyla Oliver was a television writer and producer. She began her career in the early 1980s with writing credits on series including Coach (1989) and Empty Nest (1988), sometimes credited as Lyla Oliver Noah.
She contributed as a writer to Joan of Arcadia (2003) and wrote 54 episodes of Judging Amy (1999–2004), where she also served as producer and story editor. Later credits include five episodes of Bones (2007–2013) and nine episodes of Madam Secretary (2014), on which she also worked as a producer.
Oliver died on 18 April 2021.
