Biography
Lyudmila Polyakova is a Soviet and Russian actress. She was born on 28 January 1939 in Moscow and graduated from the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School in 1964.
She began her stage career in Moscow theatres including the Malaya Bronnaya, the Stanislavsky Theatre (1965–1982) and the Taganka Theatre, before joining the Maly Theatre in 1990. Polyakova is a People's Artist of Russia (1999).
Her film roles include Avginya Demchikha in The Ascent (1977), Paraskeva in Agony (1981), a part in Bimmer (2003) and Aunt Zina in High Security Vacation (2009). She has also appeared in numerous television series.
