Biography
Maceo Parker is an American saxophonist, composer and bandleader. Born in Kinston, North Carolina, he is best known for his work as a soloist with James Brown in the 1960s and with Parliament-Funkadelic in the 1970s.
He has contributed music to films including Head-On (2004), on which he is credited as composer and musician, as well as soundtrack performances on Snatch (2000) and Space Cowboys (2000). Parker has also appeared in music videos and documentaries such as Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown (2014).
