Biography
Mady Berry (also credited as Madeleine Van Blitz) was a French stage and film actress. She studied at the conservatoire in Nice and made her stage debut in Marseille in 1912. She began appearing in films in 1930 and worked regularly in French cinema for the next three decades.
Berry is known for supporting roles including La concierge in Daybreak (1939) and Madame Quinquina in Gates of the Night (1946), both directed by Marcel Carné. She appeared in around eighty films, often playing maternal or domestic characters, and also worked in German productions such as Don Quixote (1933).
