Biography
Mahsa Rostami (Persian: مهسا رستمی) is an Iranian actress. Born in 1992, she previously appeared in underground theatre productions and short films in Iran.
Rostami made her first major feature film appearance as Rezvan in Mohammad Rasoulof’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig (2024). The film, which depicts a family’s internal conflicts amid the 2022 protests in Iran, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024, where it won the Jury Prize. Following the production, Rostami left Iran for Germany.
