Biography
Mahyar Abousaeedi is a layout artist and director of photography at Pixar Animation Studios. He began his career there after completing an MFA in animation at the University of Southern California's John C. Hench Division of Animation & Digital Arts in 2004.
Abousaeedi worked as a layout artist on films including Ratatouille (2007), Up (2009) and Toy Story 3 (2010), later serving as layout lead on Cars 2 (2011). He advanced to director of photography (camera and staging) on The Good Dinosaur (2015), Incredibles 2 (2018) and Turning Red (2022).
