Biography
Malcolm Ivan Waite (7 May 1892 – 25 April 1949) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than thirty films between 1923 and 1942, beginning in the silent era and continuing into the sound period.
He is known for his supporting role as Jack Cameron in Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush (1925). Other credits include Noah's Ark (1928), in which he played The Balkan and Shem, and A Notorious Affair (1930) as Higgins the butler. In later years his roles were frequently uncredited, among them appearances in The Pride of the Yankees (1942).
Waite was nicknamed 'The Millionaire Extra' and was an amateur heavyweight boxer.
