Biography
Malvina Polo (26 July 1903 – 6 January 2000) was an American actress who appeared in silent films between 1921 and 1924. She is credited as Marietta in Erich von Stroheim’s Foolish Wives (1922) and as Paulette in Charles Chaplin’s A Woman of Paris (1923). Other credits include The Yellow Streak (1921) and Wolves of the North (1924).
She was the daughter of actor Eddie Polo and niece of performer Sam Polo. Polo retired from acting after her marriage in 1924 to choreographer Jeronimo “Carlos” Quiroga. She later sewed costumes for the Ice Follies and performed as a concert pianist.
