Biography
Man-Ching Kwan, also known as Moon Kwan or Kwan Man-ching, was a Chinese film director, writer and actor. He appeared uncredited as a Buddhist Monk in D. W. Griffith's Broken Blossoms or The Yellow Man and the Girl (1919), on which he also served as an uncredited technical advisor.
Kwan directed more than fifty films between 1926 and 1969, the majority in Cantonese. He co-founded the Grandview Film Company and contributed to early Cantonese sound films and patriotic productions in the 1930s.
