Biography
Mandira Bedi is an Indian actress, television presenter and fashion designer. She gained recognition for the title role in the daily soap Shanti (1994–1998) on Doordarshan, one of the first daily serials on Indian television.
Bedi appeared in the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) as Preeti Singh. Her other screen credits include the television series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004), in which she played Cookie Sharma, and films such as Ittefaq (2017), The Tashkent Files (2019) and Saaho (2019). She has hosted coverage of ICC Cricket World Cups, Champions Trophies and Indian Premier League matches.
Bedi debuted as a fashion designer at Lakme Fashion Week in 2014 with a saree collection and has launched a signature sari store.
