Biography
Manel Santisteban is a Spanish composer born in Madrid in 1956. Initially focused on jazz, he formed the group Casaquemada Jazz in 1975 and later moved into pop, forming La Década Prodigiosa in 1985. He has composed and arranged music for numerous artists and has worked extensively in film and television.
Santisteban has composed scores for many Spanish television series, including long-running GloboMedia productions such as Los Serrano (2003), Paco's Men (2005) and Money Heist (2017–2021), the latter often in collaboration with Iván M. Lacámara. His film credits include Three Steps Above Heaven (2010), I Want You (2012) and music arrangement on Matador (1986). He has received awards including the Jerry Goldsmith Award for Money Heist.
