Biography
Mantarō Ushio was a Japanese actor. Born on 4 February 1909 in Asakusa, Tokyo, he died on 8 April 2000.
He appeared in supporting roles in several notable Japanese films of the late 1950s, including as Sentaro in Yasujirō Ozu’s Floating Weeds (1959), as Sergeant in Kon Ichikawa’s Fires on the Plain (1959), and as Natsuki in Giants and Toys (1958). His career spanned several decades, with credits in films from the 1930s onward and later television appearances.
