Biography
Marcella Mariani was an Italian actress. Born in Rome on 8 February 1936, she was crowned Miss Italy in 1953 and later trained at the Experimental Centre of Cinematography.
She appeared in several films in the early 1950s, including uncredited roles in Siamo donne (1953) and Villa Borghese (1953). Her most notable part was as Clara, la prostituta in Luchino Visconti's Senso (1954). Other credits include Donne e soldati (1954) and Le ragazze di San Frediano (1955).
Mariani died on 13 February 1955 in a plane crash on Monte Terminillo, aged 19.
