Biography
Marcello Morante (1916–2005) was an Italian actor. He is known for his role as Giuseppe (Joseph) in Pier Paolo Pasolini’s The Gospel According to St. Matthew (1964).
Born in Rome, he trained as a lawyer before turning to the theatre and literature. He was the brother of the writer Elsa Morante.
