Biography
Marco Paolini (born 5 March 1956) is an Italian stage actor, theatre director, dramaturge and author. Born in Belluno, Veneto, he moved to Treviso in the 1970s and began working in theatre. He is known for narrative theatre and civil theatre, often performing monologues in Venetian that draw on personal and historical themes.
His stage works include the 1993 monologue Il racconto del Vajont, which received the Ubu Prize. He has produced his own works through his company JoleFilm since 1999. In film, Paolini has appeared in Caro diario (1993) as the man in the first couple, Shun Li and the Poet (2011) as Coppe, and Sun in Buckets (2013) as Vittorio Marin.
