Biography
Marek Kondrat is a Polish actor, director and screenwriter. Born in Kraków, he trained at the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, graduating in 1972. He made his screen debut as a child in the 1961 film Historia żółtej ciżemki.
Kondrat is known for roles including Grzenda in Andrzej Wajda's Man of Iron (1981), Mieczysław Klonisz in Killer (1997) and its sequel, and Adam Miauczyński in Marek Koterski's Day of the Wacko (2002). Other credits include Danton (1983), No End (1985), The Pigs (1992) and With Fire and Sword (1999). He has also worked extensively in theatre.
His awards include the Zbigniew Cybulski Award, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2002) and the Polish Academy Award for Best Actor for Day of the Wacko (2003).
