Biography
María Botto is an Argentine-Spanish actress. She was born on 10 February 1974 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1978 she moved to Spain with her mother, the actress and acting teacher Cristina Rota, and her brother, the actor Juan Diego Botto.
She made her feature film debut at the age of ten in Los motivos de Berta (1985). Her film roles include Lala Cruz in My Life in Ruins (2009), Mary Magdalene in Risen (2016), Sor Flor in Valley of the Dead (2020) and Paola in Hustle (2022). On television she has appeared as Sophia Moreno in Mad Dogs (2015) and as Ava Pereira in Good Behavior (2016–2017).
