Biography
María Camila Arias is a Colombian screenwriter. She co-wrote the screenplay for the film Birds of Passage (2018), which premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival.
Her other credits include Candelaria (2017), for which she also served as executive producer, the series Green Frontier (2019), Clara Sola (2021), The Kings of the World (2022) and Pimpinero: Blood and Oil (2024). She contributed as writer and story editor to the Netflix series One Hundred Years of Solitude (2024).
Arias is based in Montreal, Canada. She directed the short film Soleil de nuit (2023).
