Biography
Maria Pacôme (also credited as Maria Pacome or Simonne Maria Pacôme) was a French actress and playwright. Born on 18 July 1923 in Paris, she trained at the Cours Simon from 1941. She began her stage career in 1956 and appeared in plays including Oscar (1958) and works by Sacha Guitry and Jean Poiret.
Pacôme took supporting roles in numerous films, among them Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez (1964) as Émilie Lareine-Leroy, Up to His Ears (1965) as Suzy Ponchabert, Distracted (1970) as Glycia Malaquet, The Under-Gifted (1980) as Lucie Jumaucourt and The Crisis (1992) as Mme Barelle. She provided the voice of Mémé in the animated film Titeuf (2011). She was married to actor Maurice Ronet from 1950 to 1956.
Pacôme died on 1 December 2018 in Ballainvilliers, France.
