Biography
María Valverde is a Spanish actress. She made her feature film debut at the age of 16 in La flaqueza del bolchevique (2003), directed by Manuel Martín Cuenca, for which she received the Goya Award for Best New Actress.
Her subsequent credits include Melissa P. (2005), Cracks (2009), Three Steps Above Heaven (2010) and its sequel I Want You (2012), Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) as Séfora, The Limehouse Golem (2016), Back to Burgundy (2017), Galveston (2018), Sounds Like Love (2021) and the series The Final Problem (2026) as Adela Figueroa.
Valverde married Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel in 2017.
