Biography

Marianne Elliott is a British theatre director and producer. Born on 27 December 1966 in Westminster, London, she is the daughter of director Michael Elliott and actress Rosalind Knight. She trained at Hull University and began her career in theatre.

Elliott is known for her West End and Broadway productions, including War Horse (2007), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2012), and revivals of Angels in America (2017). She directed two episodes of the BBC series Alan Bennett's Talking Heads (2020). Her feature film directorial debut was The Salt Path (2024). She was appointed OBE in 2018 for services to theatre.
