Biography
Marie Déa, born Odette Alice Marie Deupès, was a French actress. She was born on 17 May 1912 in Nanterre and died on 1 March 1992 in Paris. After studying law she took theatre courses and began her career with small roles, making her film debut in 1939.
She gained notice in the early 1940s with roles in Pièges (1939), Premier bal (1941) and Le journal tombe à cinq heures (1942). Her best-known performances include Anne in Marcel Carné's Les Visiteurs du soir (1942) and Eurydice in Jean Cocteau's Orpheus (1950). She appeared in more than fifty films and television productions through the early 1980s, with later credits including Armageddon (1977) and L'homme pressé (1977).
She was married to actor Lucien Nat.
