Biography
Marie France is a costume designer. A graduate of fine arts from a Beaux Arts School and of liberal arts from the Sorbonne in Paris, she began her career in the United States collaborating with Prince. She designed costumes for his 1984 film Purple Rain and 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon, as well as several of his music videos.
She subsequently worked on numerous feature films, including Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991), Encino Man (1992), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992), The Borrowers (1997), Black Knight (2001) and Garfield (2004), several of them directed by Peter Hewitt. She has also designed for music videos by artists including Natalie Cole, Tina Turner and Rod Stewart.
