Biography
Marie Hanhnhon Nguyen is a writer, director and producer. Born in Saigon, she moved with her family to California at the age of five.
She began her career in film and television production, working as an associate producer on White Boy Rick (2018) and on the HBO series Lovecraft Country. She later became a staff writer on the Netflix series BEEF (2023), for which she also received a writing credit, and served as story editor on A Friend of the Family (2022) and executive story editor on The Decameron (2024).
Nguyen has a writing credit on the series The Audacity (2026) and has written and directed short films including The Paper Prince (2011) and Choke the Anchovy (2026).
