Biography
Marie Trintignant was a French actress. Born on 21 January 1962 in Boulogne-Billancourt, she was the daughter of actor Jean-Louis Trintignant and director, producer and screenwriter Nadine Marquand. She made her screen debut at the age of four in the film Mon amour, mon amour (1967), directed by her mother.
Trintignant appeared in more than thirty films over a career spanning from 1967 to 2003. Her early notable roles include Série noire (1979) and Une affaire de femmes (1988). Later credits include Betty (1992), Les Apprentis (1995), Ponette (1996) as La mère, and Harrison's Flowers (2000). Two of her final films, Janis et John (2002) and the miniseries Colette, une femme libre (2003), were released after her death on 1 August 2003.
