Biography
Marina Vlady (born Catherine Marina de Poliakoff-Baïdaroff) was a French actress. She made her screen debut as a child and appeared in more than 80 feature films and television productions over a career spanning from the late 1940s to the 2010s.
Her credits include the role of Kate Percy in Orson Welles's Chimes at Midnight (1965) and Juliette Jeanson in Jean-Luc Godard's 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her (1967). She won the Best Actress award at the 1963 Cannes Film Festival for The Conjugal Bed. Other notable films include La Princesse de Clèves (1961), Let Joy Reign Supreme (1975) and Twist Again in Moscow (1986).
Vlady was also a singer and writer. She was married three times, including to actor and director Robert Hossein and to Russian singer Vladimir Vysotsky.
