Biography
Marisa Wegrzyn is an American writer and playwright. She grew up in Wilmette, Illinois, and studied at Washington University in St. Louis, where she won the A.E. Hotchner playwriting award.
Her stage work includes the black comedy The Butcher of Baraboo, first produced by Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago in 2006 and later Off-Broadway in New York. In 2009 she received the Wasserstein Prize for her play Hickorydickory.
Wegrzyn moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to work in television. Her credits include writing and story editing on The Mentalist (2014–2015), writing on Feed the Beast (2016) and Mind Games (2014), and writing and producing on Goliath (2016–2021). She is also credited on the forthcoming series The Miniature Wife (2026).
