Biography
Marjorie Fielding was a British stage and film actress. Born Doris Marjorie Fielding on 17 February 1890 in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, she trained with the Liverpool Repertory Company after attending Cheltenham Ladies College and went on to appear in West End productions including Quiet Wedding and Quiet Weekend.
She appeared in numerous British films from the 1940s onwards, often in supporting roles as aristocratic or elderly women. Her credits include Yellow Canary (1943), The Franchise Affair (1951) and The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), in which she played Mrs. Chalk.
Fielding died on 28 December 1956 in London.
