Biography
Mark Ciardi is an American film producer and former Major League Baseball pitcher. Born on 19 August 1961 in Piscataway, New Jersey, he played briefly for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1987 before a shoulder injury ended his career. He later moved into film production.
Ciardi co-founded Mayhem Pictures, which had a long-term first-look deal with Walt Disney Studios, and has produced numerous sports dramas including Miracle (2004), Invincible (2006), The Game Plan (2007), Secretariat (2010), Million Dollar Arm (2014) and McFarland, USA (2015). He is the founder and president of Select Films and has also produced Chappaquiddick (2017), American Underdog (2021) and A Million Miles Away (2023), as well as ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries.
