Biography
Mark Haddon is an English writer of novels, children's literature, poetry, screenplays and radio drama. He is best known for the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (2003), which won the Whitbread Book of the Year and the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize.
Haddon wrote the BBC television film Coming Down the Mountain (2007), directed by Julie Anne Robinson and starring Nicholas Hoult and Tommy Jessop. It was adapted from his earlier Radio 4 afternoon play, which won a Sony Radio Academy Award. His other novels include A Spot of Bother (2006).
