Biography
Mark Powley is a British actor. Born on 4 October 1963 in Chelmsford, Essex, he began his career in the mid-1980s and has worked extensively in British television and film.
He is best known for playing P.C. Melvin in 88 episodes of the police drama The Bill (1987–1990) and for his role as Andy Love / Friendly Screw in the 2008 film Bronson. Other television credits include appearances in Next of Kin (1995–1996), Coronation Street (2001), Hollyoaks (2002–2003), Lewis (2007) and Death in Paradise (2011). Film roles include Wing Commander (1999) and Bloody New Year (1987).
Powley’s daughter is the actress Bel Powley.
