Biography
Mark Rowley is a Scottish actor. Born on 29 January 1990 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, he trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland after developing an interest in acting through classes at the PACE Theatre Company.
He is best known for portraying the Irish warrior Finan, Uhtred’s companion in battle, in the television series The Last Kingdom (2015–2022) and the film The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (2023). Other television credits include Luther (2013), River City (2013–2014), The North Water (2021), The Spanish Princess (2020), The Witcher: Blood Origin (2022), SAS Rogue Heroes (2022) and One Day (2024). His film work includes Guns Akimbo (2020) and a 2018 screen adaptation of Macbeth.
